Asia-Africa Early Childhood Education and Care Research Forum

As of 2024, there are very few researchers in Japan who study early childhood education and care in Asia and Africa, making it difficult to share information or to approach research from a comparative perspective. The aim of this research forum is to bring together domestic and international researchers focused on early childhood education and care, particularly in low- and middle-income countries in Asia and Africa, to foster information exchange and discussion. The format of the forum is flexible, allowing for research presentations, book discussions, and lectures. Ultimately, we hope that the forum leads to collaborative or comparative research projects. We encourage participation from those currently researching early childhood education and care in Asia and Africa, those just beginning their research, and anyone with an interest in the topic.
