Miao Zhining
Hello, my name is zhining MIAO and I am from China. I have been a research student in Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, International Education Development program since October, 2020. My interest topic is about the Current Situation of Primary Education of Migrant Workers'Children from the Perspective of Educational Equality. And will be base on the situation of my hometown,Guangdong province,China.I am really happy to join the program and hope that I can learn with Professor Taniguchi and all the seminar members. Kelroy Brown
Hello! I am Kelroy Brown and I am from Kingston, Jamaica. I am an experienced IT professional and I have worked in the public sector in Jamaica. I am also a past participant in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET). My research topic is influenced by my time living and working on a tiny rural island in Shimane, Japan, and focuses on education and social programs that can be used to combat depopulation. I am fortunate to have Dr. Taniguchi and many capable seniors assisting me at Hiroshima University.

Matthews Kamzgezge Nyirenda
I, Matthews Kamzgezge Nyirenda, am a Malawian educationist and scholar. After attaining a Teacher Training Program in 2010-2011, I taught in Primary School for four years (2013-2017). Succeeding the attainment of my Bachelor’s Degree in July 2027, I have been teaching at Secondary School (High School) in Malawi for six years (2017-2023). Concurrently, I have been working as a part time tutor in Educational Psychology, Philosophy of Education and Adolescent Psychology at the University of Malawi for three years (2021, 22, 23). Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s Degree at Hiroshima University in International Education Development Program sponsored by MEXT. My research interest condenses on “Effectiveness of qualified secondary school teachers: A case of Community Day Secondary Schools in Mzimba District, Northern Education Division of Malawi under the supervision of Taniguchi Sensei.

My occupy topic is about Gender mainstreaming of workforce empowerment on long-term basis to improve equitable quality TVET skills investment in industrial development. Rorine Tioti
Mauri and Hello! My name is Rorine Tioti from the Kiribati islands. I work in the Curriculum Development and Assessment Unit within the Ministry of Education as a Curriculum Development Officer and Coordinator of the Family Life Education (FLE) program. My research will be based on How Family Life Education affects students’ performance. FLE is a right based and gender focused approach to sexuality education and it is newly implemented in our national curriculum. I hope that this study will measure the effects of FLE in terms of reduced violence and bullying, reduced STIs, early and unintended pregnancy, promotion of healthy and respectful relationships and empowerment of young people to make informed decisions that support their academic and personal performances, well being and health. I also hope that the research will contribute to the interventions for the mentioned problems in Kiribati. I am very grateful and honored to be learning from Professor Taniguchi, and from your seminars. Thank you.

Hello! I am Shino MANABE from Kagawa prefecture, Japan. When I was an undergraduate student, my major was Education, especially primary school education, English education, and home economics education. Now I am studying International Educational Development in IEDP. I am fully happy to be a member of Taniguchi seminar with lovely my seminar members.

Yukako Sato
My name is Yukako Sato, and I study international education development to help more children attend school. Before I worked as a table tennis coach in Bhutan from 1993 to 1996 and then taught in elementary schools in Japan for 20 years. I'm currently researching ways to improve the study abilities of challenging students in Bhutan. In addition, It's a great joy to connect with companies from different countries.

Vichara Lay
Hello, I am Vichara Lay from Cambodia. I’ve been starting my Master’s at Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Division of Educational Sciences, International Education Development Program, Hiroshima University, Japan in October, 2020. I have been supported by Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS). My interest topic is to investigate the factors influencing the student achievement based on the School Effectiveness Research models. I expect that the study may contribute to measure the target 4.1of SDG4 “ensure that equitable and quality primary and secondary education leading to relevant and effective learning outcome”. Hello, I am INTHAVONGSA Souksamay, I am from Laos. I have been starting my master's degree at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Hiroshima University in 2021. My Research is interested in Improvement the quality of teacher in multi-grade class teaching in Lao PDR. I really hope to gain more knowledge from this seminar. Hello! My name is Say Sokunpharoth, and I am from Cambodia. I graduated from Royal University of Phnom Penh majoring in Education. Currently, I work at Planning Department in the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport. In this autumn semester, I have entered Hiroshima University as a Master student under JDS scholarship and my main supervisor is Dr. Kyoko Taniguchi. My research interest is school management with community engagement contributing to student academic performance in disadvantaged area in Cambodia. In the future, I hope to gain more knowledge related to education and best practices of Japanese Education Development then build my capacity in term of government official and to be a good human resource for my country.
